Restriction enzymes are used to recognize a specific sequence of nucleotides and cut double stranded DNA into smaller fragments at a specific location. Each restriction enzyme recognises different DNA sequences.
DpnII is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the DpnII gene from Diplococcus pneumoniae. DpnII activity is blocked by Dam methylation. The optimum reaction temperature is at 37 °C.
Concentration: 10000 U/mL
Reaction Buffer: The enzyme is provided with two buffers: a specific buffe – NZYBuffer A, optimized for routine single-enzyme digestion, and NZYBuffer U, a universal buffer suitable for multi-enzyme digestions and ready for direct agarose gel loading.
This dual-buffer system offers convenience and flexibility, ensuring maximal specificity and allowing customers to choose the most appropriate buffer for their experimental setup. For single-enzyme digestions using NZYBuffer A, NZYBuffer U can also be utilized as a loading buffer at a 1x concentration.
